Job description

MapUp is looking for a frontend engineer who has strong expertise in building world-className web, mobile apps and care deeply about UI/UX.

  • A passion for great UX, attention to detail, and an understanding of the customer experience.
  • Participate in all aspects of PDLC including requirement/design reviews as well as code reviews.
  • A high bar for code quality - clean, reusable, clutter-free frontend code organization.
  • Work remotely, perform autonomously, and keep the team and project stakeholders informed diligently.
  • Creating toolchains that make building, testing, and releasing efficient web application code.

Experience and Skills

  • JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, Redux, Webpack
  • React Native, Expo SDK 40+
  • Designing and developing mobile and desktop web applications using ReactJS
  • Frontend UI frameworks based on ReactJS like Ant design, Reactstrap, React Native
  • AWS Architecture & Development
  • AWS Infra: EC2, S3, Route53, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, Lambda
  • Authorization and Authentication with AWS Cognito
  • DevOps: Git, Github, Bitbucket, CD/CI, JIRA
  • Hands-on experience with frontend TDD and or other testing methodologies

We are looking for

  • Experience building responsive and adaptive designed pages
  • A portfolio of work samples demonstrating coding, UI, UX skills
  • Mapping and location-based technologies/libraries like Mapbox, HERE Maps, Leaflet are a plus.
  • Building data dashboards for analytics, application/API status and health monitoring.
  • Edge deployments using CDNs like AWS CloudFront
  • Writing pluggable frontend components to integrate with WordPress or other SSR sites.
  • Integrating developer APIs of Google Analytics, Mixpanel and other frontend monitoring tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
