Set up NavGuru on Platform Science

What you'll need

Before you start, make sure the following are in place:

• NavGuru is enabled for your Platform Science environment. If not, you can check out NavGuru on the Platform Science marketplace and contact the Platform Science team to have it enabled.
• NavGuru is installed on your Platform Science tablets. If NavGuru is not visible in the app list, ensure the app is enabled through the Platform Science RPM (Remote Platform Management).
• Location services are enabled on the device. To check, open your device's Settings, search for Location, and turn it on if it isn't already.

Workflow configuration

Apply these three updates in your Platform Science account:

1. Allow NavGuru in the status bar. Add com.mapup.navguru to filter_for_status_bar_availability.
2. Set NavGuru as the nav app. Under pscore → nav_app_config, set the package name to NavGuru and turn on launch_on_wim so NavGuru isn't blocked by the Wheels-In-Motion screen and stays available while the vehicle is moving.
3. Redirect the "Navigate" button. Under workflow, point navigation_deeplink at NavGuru.
